Position Summary:
McDougal Littell, a division of Houghton Mifflin Riverdeep Group, is the leading secondary textbook publisher in the country. Due to significant growth we are currently seeking a Science Producer to work at our offices located in Evanston, IL.

The Science Producer is responsible for developing multimedia technology products for our Science discipline including but not limited to online books, CD-ROM books, video/DVDs, audio CD's, software developments and presentation software.

Primary Accountabilities:
Works collaboratively with Editorial and Marketing to conceptualize and plan new language arts technology product.
Oversees technology product development for Science products.
Hires and supervises outside developers and project staff.
Monitors budgets for Science technology development efforts to achieve financial, operational and publishing objectives.
Monitors market and competition, identifying new Science technology opportunities, both for standalone products and in support of McDougal Littell print products.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
The successful candidate for the Producer position should have a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years experience in project management. The candidate should also have experience in the production of multimedia technology products for the web and CD-ROM's. Experience with MS Office and MS Project is required. Prior experience in publishing, education and/or software development is preferred.
