Multimedia 313 is an intermediate course in the Multimedia Program's development sequence of courses. Building on core concepts and technologies explored in MM113 and 213, students delve into programming using the Actionscript language in Flash. The first half of the semester highlights best programming practices and includes several projects to build up these skills. In the second half of the semester, students are expected to apply their skills in a team environment in the production of group projects, developing a full Flash educational game. During the production of this game, students learn the whole process of a multimedia projects from definition to design to the execution and programming of the game. The course usually involves a serious student commitment with the final game making a great addition to the student's final portfolio.
