Media Master for Chicago Centerstage

CenterstageChicago.com (the city's oldest online city guide and the hippest division of the Sun-Times News Group) is looking for a full-time Media Production Coordinator. We're in need of a digital media master who can skillfully manage Centerstage's regular production, whip the site's design into shape and help develop compelling new products and features for Centerstage Chicago and other STNG Websites.

Duties include: manage our process for constant improvements in website usability, Information Architecture and Interface Design; coordinate with our editors to maintain regular, fresh content on websites thru use of automated tools and manually produced code; work with cross-departmental teams as well as contractors developing design
specifications; work with teams to generate new areas of content as well as produce across multiple platforms (email/mobile/video/etc); and more.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in design-related or communications field.
  • Experience
  • Minimum five year's professional website development experience with a deep understanding of Website layout and design.
  • Must be able to show portfolio of professional and personal work.
  • Skills
  • Knowledge of best practices in Web design.
  • Creatively driven, must be able to work with limited outside art direction
  • Skills will require working within: CSS, html/xhtml, javascript, flash, Cold Fusion (CFML).
  • Ability to create and communicate original ideas and interact with all levels of the organization, specifically writing and grammar skills.
  • Motivated self-starter who works well under deadlines.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
